They offset this with good offense and defense abilites, sprinkled in with some decent ranged units. Besides the slow rules the army can be played in different ways, as their are differently priced options. From cheap Cultists over the defensive Warriors to the hard hitting Immortals, there are some options. Besides dwarves a lot of different monsters give a good variet with lots of attacks.

When Havoc arrived in Tyria, the northern Dwarfholds were overrun by followers of Havoc, while the southern Dwarves joined the campaign against Havoc. Seeing their opportunity, the Orcs attacked and soon conquered the southern Dwarfholds. The southern Dwarves had a difficult life under the Orcs. The Orcs drove the Dwarves out of their holds and took whatever they wished from their subjects. The Dwarves held little status, reduced to performing hard labour in the fields and mines, and with their former allies too weakened to help, they lived under cruel Orcish rule for generations. When the Havoc Gods saw the lack of arcane potential in their Dwarven followers, their attention shifted to other mortal followers. While their gifts still appeared amongst the Havoc Dwarves, it was far more difficult for the Dwarves to catch the attention of their new patrons. In order to account for their lack of Magic, they began to use captives as conduits for powerful rituals and magic. Through this experimentation, they have discovered how to use blood magic to overcome their natural weakness. Some Havoc Dwarves have managed to catch the attention of their gods once more using this magic, however, as always, the attention of the Havoc Gods is fleeting.

To further impress the Havoc Gods, the Dwarves have used their mechanical knowledge to build more powerful warmachines, golems, and weapons. They do this in the vain hope that the blood they shed and the empires that they build may finally satisfy their aloof patrons.

== Background Story ==
Havoc Dwarves are a faction of dwarves that have been corrupted by the havoc gods, and are now systematically razing one city after the next. Their bodies are covered in heavy armor sealed by the power of havoc, making them able to withstand even the mightiest of blows.

Whilst the history of the Havoc Dwarves is not exactly clear, legend has it that once upon a time they used to be regular dwarven miners, seeking riches underground. These poor souls dug so deep into the earth that they uncovered a secret lair of the havoc gods, upon which they became corrupted.

Unlike other dwarves they don’t shy away in using their advanced technology to perform grotesque experiments, creating new hybrid versions or dwarves, as well as other mutated beasts.

If you see a Havoc Dwarves caravan coming towards town you better start running before their siege chariots get in position.
