Graveyard of Empires (500pts)
This is a v2.50 list you can build using an Afghan Warriors box from Wargames Atlantic, or any other models of your choice.
Very shooting heavy, themed after the hardy, skilled mountain fighters of the Middle East, spelling the end of many an invading European. Advance up the board slowly, making use of your good range to whittle down units to finish off with your Infantrymen, and your Snipers to pick off any enemy heroes or special weapon carriers. This has a bit less use in Fantasy than in Grimdark Future, but it is still useful versus some armies such as Eternal Wardens. For example, putting just a single wound on a normal model in a unit of Tough(3) infantry means all other wounds coming from any source have to apply to that model first, allowing for easier threat removal. This doesn't apply to enemy heroes, of course, but with two Sniper Rifles, you can kill them over a few turns without needing other units to damage them.
The Battle Master in the Infantrymen is just there as a morale and slight damage boost. If you'd wish, you could instead grab a second Sniper Rifle in one of the units and use the other 10 points to instead give a Banner or Musician to the Infantrymen, or a Sergeant model to two of your units (likely best used to boost two of the regular Rifle models to a 4+ shooting.
